A few days later Hamish Green was diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis — a rare neurological condition which causes benign tumours to grow on the brain. Intense surgery by renowned neurosurgeon Wirginia Maixner has helped end violent seizures experienced by Hamish, now nine years old.
