Get involved in the TRAIN research study at UCLA

Does your infant or toddler have TSC?

Researchers are adapting an established intervention for remote delivery to learn and practice at home!

This TRAIN research study at UCLA is a fully remote study and is able to enrol participants in Australia. Intervention is provided through videoconferencing and families are compensated for completing the study.

TRAIN is a remote intervention study for children with TSC using the JASPER approach, developed by Dr. Connie Kasari at UCLA.

They are studying the effects of early behavioural intervention on developmental outcomes in infants and toddlers with TSC. With a focus on social-communication skills, as these are tightly linked to the development of ASD. The overarching goal of the research is to improve outcomes in infants with TSC by conducting rigorous, innovative research in treatment, using both brain and behavioural measures to study the effects of treatment.

Enrolment for the study is ongoing and it will stay open until they have have enough TSC families involved.
