Availability of Vigabatrin (Sabril)
We know that some people in our TSC Community are having problems with the supply and availability of Vigabatrin (Sabril), an essential medication for many people living with TSC.
TSA is in touch with Sanofi, the pharmaceutical company responsible for the production of Vigabatrin (Sabril), and they are fully aware of the situation. They tell us they have placed a high priority on resolving the shortage and are working diligently towards a solution.
If any of you are facing challenges in obtaining this vital medication, we urge you to reach out to your prescribing doctor or local pharmacist. They will hopefully be able to assist you and offer guidance. You may, for instance, be able to access sachets rather than tablets in the short term.
For those seeking direct contact with Sanofi, you can use their contact form at this link: https://www.sanofi.com.au/en/contact-us.
