Understanding TAND in TSC: Zoom Event with Dr Beck Mitchell

TSA is delighted to announce a special Zoom event exploring TAND (TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders) – a condition that affects approximately 9 out of 10 people living with TSC at some point in their lives.

TAND can have a significant impact on day-to-day life and family wellbeing. One of the most common requests from individuals and families affected by TSC is for guidance on understanding and managing TAND-related symptoms.

This session will be led by Dr Rebecca (Beck) Mitchell, a developmental paediatrician, researcher, and the newest member of TSA’s Medical Advisory Panel. Beck will share her expertise regarding the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and management of TAND, with time for questions at the end of the session.

Date: Wednesday 27th August
Time: 7:00pm AEST
Where: Zoom
Cost: Free for TSA members
Duration: Approximately 75–90 minutes

Places are limited – register now to secure your spot.

Dr Beck Mitchell holds a PhD focused on developmental outcomes in children with TSC. Beck’s current research explores developmental changes over time and the neurobiological pathways that contribute to these outcomes. She is particularly interested in the complex presentations and management of TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders (TAND). Beck is the Australian representative on the International TAND Consortium and is involved in the global TANDem2 project.
