Carer Adjustment Payment

We would like to let our TSC Community know about the Carer Adjustment Payment. It’s a one-off payment to assist families where a child younger than 7 is diagnosed with a severe medical condition.

To get this payment you must provide full time care for a child younger than 7 and meet other rules.

A doctor must diagnose the child with a severe medical condition or severe disability following a catastrophic event (the diagnosis of a severe medical condition). You must apply for the payment within 2 years from the first time a doctor diagnoses your child’s condition.

The most any family can receive is up to $10,000 for each child.
