Neurodevelopmental disorders in children with TSC

Many children with TSC experience neurodevelopmental disorders including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, conduct disorders and impairments in vision and hearing.

On this page you will find a video and the presentation slides for TSA’s zoom education event, in which Dr Vanessa Sarkozy, Developmental Paediatrician at Sydney Children’s Hospital talks about:

  • the surveillance, screening and diagnosis of neurodevelopment disorders in TSC children,
  • optimising access to early intervention and support, and
  • how to plan and access support through the NDIS or community services.

There are also recommended sources of further information.

This information is relevant for family members of younger children with TSC.
