Lizzie’s Lunch raises over $22,300

On Sunday 25 June 2023TSA together with Sue Pinkerton, hosted the 10th and final Lizzie’s Lunch event at the Hills Lodge, Castle Hill, NSW

Lizzie’s mum, Sue Pinkerton has hosted this special lunch event each year for the past 10 years. This great event has celebrated the life of Elizabeth Pinkerton and raised much needed funds for the organisation that is part of her legacy, TSA (Tuberous Sclerosis Australia).

The funds raised at Lizzie’s Lunches have made a huge difference to the information and support services that are available to people living with the devastating rare disease, TSC (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex).

TSA wish to thank Sue for her incredible efforts inspiring so much support from her community to help families impacted by TSC. Just over $22,300 was raised in 2023, bringing the total raised to more than $157,000 since the event began back in 2014.

If you’d like to know more about setting up and running an event like this, please read this article about how Sue created such a great event: Lizzie’s Lunch Reach Out October 2021

Special thanks also to Clarissa and Jordan Tuia, our special guests speakers for so courageously sharing their TSC story following their son Mase’s diagnosis. Shout outs to Rob Rossano our extraordinarily funny and talented MC, to all the guests who joined us and gave so generously and to everyone who donated a prize for the auction and raffle. The success of this event was made possible thanks to each of you.

Check out the wonderful photos from the event, thanks to our pro-bono photographer Nina Kourea who captured many special moments – including the well-deserved standing ovation Sue received to conclude the day.
