Virtual MyTime Group: Online Peer Support for Parents and Carers
Mondays during Term 4 | 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm | Online
Virtual MyTime is an online peer support group for parents and carers of children with disability or developmental delay.
The group provides an opportunity to connect with other parents and carers online, particularly for families who are working or unable to attend a local MyTime group.
Each session includes a guided discussion and time to connect with other families. Topics vary and may include:
- Helping extended family and friends understand your child
- Balancing paid work and parenting
- Supporting siblings
- Planning for school holidays
- Sharing experiences and questions about the NDIS
- Advocacy and sharing what has worked for your family
- Tips for working with therapists
The group is facilitated by an experienced peer support facilitator who is also a parent of a child with disability.
“After each Virtual MyTime session I feel more relaxed and less stressed.” – Parent
