TSA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025

Thank you to everyone who attended TSA’s Annual General Meeting via Zoom on Saturday 15 November. There was a lot of progress in the last year to celebrate.

Nominations for committee members and office holders were approved and Tom Keys (Treasurer) and Anna Beaton were formally appointed to the committtee. Our current committee is shown here.

TSA’s Medical Advisory Panel was also reappointed, except that long-time supporter and expert geneticist Dr David Mowat – pictured – has now stepped down from the Panel. We thank David most sincerely for his many years of support and commitment to TSA and the TSC Community in Australia.

In the words of Sue Pinkerton, Former President of TSA, “About 30 years ago, I invited David Mowat to speak at a TSA family conference on the genetics of TSC. This was TSA’s opportunity to work with an enthusiastic medical professional to develop the vision of a multi-disciplinary clinic at Sydney Children’s Hospital for TSC. It was David’s continuing support and expertise that grew the TSC profile amongst medical paediatric professionals along with his willingness to attend international conferences, and national medical meetings to share the genetic research knowledge amongst his colleagues. I thank David for his 30 plus years of active leadership and service to families living with TSC through his role at Sydney Children’s Hospital and his network of medical professionals. Thank you for your dedication and commitment David.”

We thank all members of the Committee, our Regional Contacts, the TSA Medical Advisory Committee, our volunteers, staff team and all our supporters for their commitment and work in the last year.

If you are interested in being involved in the running of TSA by joining the Management Committee, we’d love to hear from you. Please email [email protected] for more information.
