TSC Connect - Save the Date - 3 June

TSA is developing its second TSC Connect Event for adults living with TSC. The event will be held on Sat 3 June 2023 in Melbourne. This is an opportunity for adults living with TSC to connect and learn more about managing TSC. We have some great speakers lined up. Save the date. More information coming soon.

Two New Research Trials - now recruiting

Cannabidiol (CBD) research study

Researchers at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne are conducting a new medical research study exploring the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis for managing behavioural symptoms in children with developmental disabilities.

TSC-STEPS research trial

Sydney Children's Hospital is now recruiting for the TSC-STEPS research trial (formerly known as STOP2). The purpose of this ground-breaking research is to learn more about the safety and efficacy of early Sirolimus treatment to prevent or delay seizure onset in infants diagnosed with TSC. Infants 0 to 6 months old who have been diagnosed with TSC and have no history of seizures may be eligible to participate. 

If needed, TSA can offer some assistance with travel costs for families across Australia who participate in the trial.

TSC Clinic for adults with TSC

Did you know there is a TSC Multidisciplinary Clinic for adults living with TSC at Westmead Hospital in NSW?

Dr Zebunnessa Rahman, neurologist at Westmead Hospital has been running a TSC Clinic since 2015.
