Firstly, thank you to everyone who supported our Light the Way campaign on TSC Global Awareness Day. The incredible collective power of our TSC Community helped us raise just over $53,000. Remarkable!

Also in this issue:

  • watch our video on mTOR inhibitor treatments in TSC
  • we'd love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer some time to TSA
  • congratulations to Georgia and all the other TSC warriors out there

Wishing you all very best wishes

Jackie, CEO, TSA

THANK YOU

A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing fundraisers, match givers, donors and supporters of this year's Light the Way campaign. Together we raised just over $53,000 to increase the number of hours the TSA telehealth nurse service is available to support our TSC Community. If you meant to donate and didn't quite get around to it, you can still do so until midnight on Sunday!

Zoom event on everolimus and sirolimus

Thank you to Dr Clara Chung (Clinical Geneticist) and Dr Denise Chan (Paediatric Neurologist) from Sydney Children's Hospital and to everyone who participated in our recent Zoom event on sirolimus and everolimus. The video of this excellent presentation is now available to view on our website.

Georgia

Georgia was not diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) until she was 21 years old, she is now almost 30. Georgia has never allowed the disability caused by her TSC to stop her from enjoying life to the full. She is a very talented dancer and has recently won a Gold medal with Team Australia in the All Abilities Unified Hip Hop at the World Games in Orlando.

Is your loved one living with TSC (or you as a person living with TSC) celebrating a birthday or another milestone like recovering from an operation, learning to ride a bike, starting school or learning how to read?

Let's celebrate and share the success. Just send us a photo, along with their (your) name, birthdate and age (if you want to share this) and any other details and we'll share a celebration message on TSA social media.
