2 new Zoom events for our TSC Community! 

On Tues 15 October, Jacqui Caudle will tell us about Carer Gateway, a free,national program which exists to help people in caring roles find and access free and essential supports such as counselling, peer support and respite.

Four in five people with TSC have skin issues, and they can be very challenging. In this online education event, expert dermatologist Associate Professor Deshan Sebaratnam will discuss TSC-related skin issues. Join us on Tues 19 November to find out more about the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and management of skin issues in TSC.

New research study 

As many of you will know, TSC is often associated with epilepsy and a variety of neuropsychiatric conditions collectively referred to as TAND (TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders). These can include autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and behavioural problems, significantly affecting the quality of life for people living with TSC. This new research study investigated the long-term impact of epilepsy surgery on TAND outcomes in children with TSC.

Alana's story 

Debbie Crosby, former President of TSA is well known to many of you in the TSC Community. Her daughter Alana was diagnosed with TSC as a baby. Alana is now 20 years old and Debbie and her family have kindly shared an update of their story to help other families who are also with living with the uncertainty of TSC.
