The outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 has impacted people in many and varying ways all around the world. It is understandable that during this global pandemic people may be feeling afraid, worried, anxious and overwhelmed by the constantly changing alerts and media coverage regarding the spread of the virus. It is normal to feel stress about this uncertain situation.

We have gathered some wellness resources to help you and your family manage your wellness and wellbeing during these times.

Connect with others

Keeping connected is really important. Stay in touch with the TSC Community through our Facebook Discussions Group. It’s a great way to stay connected with your TSC Community. A place to share stories, ask questions and support one another.

Keeping happy and hopeful

The Red Cross has developed information on keeping happy and hopeful during isolation and managing stress. This information may help you identify if your children are feeling upset or stressed and provides helpful tips about how to help them cope.

Mental wellbeing support service

You don’t need to deal with this alone. The team at Beyond Blue have some good strategies and services for helping us all to manage our mental health during the coronavirus outbreak. How to talk to your children about COVID-10

Children might find it difficult to understand what they are seeing online or on TV – or hearing from other people – so they can be particularly vulnerable to feelings of anxiety, stress and sadness. The Unicef team have some tips about how to talk to your children during this time.
