You are invited to TSA’s TAND+ Conference on Saturday 20 November 2021

This is a 3-hour virtual event for everyone around Australia and New Zealand.

Click here to see the full program.

TAND stands for TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders. It includes behaviour, intellectual disability, autism, learning difficulties and mental ill health. TAND impacts a significant proportion of people living with TSC and we know that these impacts on behavior, learning and mental health are often the most difficult symptoms of TSC to cope with. It is important that families, carers and health professionals are aware of these challenges and implement appropriate strategies to deal with them.

Professor Petrus de Vries
Professor Anna Jansen

The virtual event will provide an opportunity to find out more about TAND and hear from international expert TSC health professionals:

Professor Petrus de Vries, Sue Struengmann Professor of Child & Adolescent Psychology, University of Cape Town

Professor Anna Jansen, Head of Paediatric Neurology, University Hospital Antwerp, Belgium

Additionally Dr Darcy Krueger, Director of the Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will tell us what else has changed in the updated TSC Management and Surveillance Guidelines which have just been published. You will have a unique opportunity to hear from two international experts in this field – Psychiatrist Professor Petrus de Vries and Paediatric Neurologist Professor Dr Anna Jansen. They will discuss:

  • What is TAND?
