Rare Disease Day Event in Penrith

Category: TSA News | 0

Our friends at Genetic Alliance Australia and SWAN (Syndromes Without a Name) are presenting at a Rare Disease Day event in Penrith, NSW on Friday 24th February. You are invited to join them.

Rare Disease Day is an international day that raises awareness of rare diseases and the importance of equity, diagnosis, treatments and inclusion.

This in-person event will take place on Friday, 24 February, in The Malcolm Boyland Foyer, Joan Sutherland Performing Art Centre Centre (597 High St, Penrith NSW 2750). The centre is a five minute walk from Penrith train station and there is also Westfield and council car parking.

Come along to hear from community members and various professionals working in the field of rare genetic conditions. Learn about the FREE services that carers can access through Carer Gateway and participate in a mindfulness session run for carers (after all guest speakers have spoken). And mingle with members of the rare disease community and carers over lunch. All attendees will enter a lucky door prize draw and will receive a self-care pack.
